About Us

Rosemary Eribé James set up ERIBÉ Knitwear Design in 1986 and together with her highly skilled staff and combining the best blend of Scottish skilled craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods; ERIBÉ Knitwear Design have built up a successful business.

Rosemary says: "We work very hard following the traditional values of caring about the people we work with. By taking a real interest in all of our customers we have managed to grow with them. This has become more and more important as retailers need new innovative ideas, small runs and repeat orders if they sell well."

In the early days our main product was cashmere garments, now, due to changes in the market we are making accessories,toys and brooches, hot water bottle covers, cushion covers as well as garments in a variety of top quality natural yarns.

A new addition to the collection is hand painted cashmere. Developed and painted by Rosemary Eribé herself, the garments are painted as if a canvas resulting in stunning unique show pieces.

"We pride ourselves for remaining in Scotland and have worked often against the tide to produce completely different products from traditional Scottish Knitwear".

As a company we feel strongly about the ecological aspect of our planet and have systems in place for re-using paper and recycling waste. Working together with a spinner we have developed a 100% ecology undyed Shetland yarn offering many shades of undyed colours including dark brown, charcoal and all the lighter shades.
